We make our donuts by hand in Hackney using the very best ingredients and sell them online, throughout markets around London and via custom orders. 

It’s a really exciting time for us at the moment as we’re just about to open our very first bricks and mortar store in Covent Garden and we’re looking for people to come and join us start this totally new chapter.

CURRENT VACANCIES

Baker/Tourier

We're looking for a wizard in the kitchen who’s super reliable, up for new challenges, that can handle working under pressure and can stick to very strict timescales. You must be energetic, positive and super capable of working closely with others in a team. You must also be trusted to take charge and make sure all tasks under your remit are completed properly with great attention to detail and on time. You’ll also need to know a lot about dough and preferably have experience of making donuts. 

Job responsibilities: 

- Making large quantities of donuts from scratch: weighing and mixing dough, rolling and cutting out, frying. 
- Making jams, fillings, glazes and purees from scratch. 
- Decorating each donut with high attention to detail. 
- Managing time effectively to stick to strict production schedule. 
- Ensuring all necessary hygiene controls are adhered to. 
- Monitoring supply levels and submitting orders for stock replenishment. 

About the job: 

- Either full-time (40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7) or part time (8-32 hours per week, working 1-4 days out of 7).
- Must be available to work weekends and bank holidays.
- Location split between our kitchen in Hackney although and in our new premises in Covent Garden, Big Shot.

Essential: 

- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3 preferred). 
- It can be pretty tough slinging sacks of flour and rolling out endless batches of dough so the job requires someone physically peak-y. 
- Previous experience in a professional bakery or kitchen, producing high volumes of pastry, bread, confectionery etc is a plus.

Donut Decorator 

You'll be super creative, have an extensive knowledge of icings, jams, curds and meringues, be able to follow recipes down to a T, have great attention to detail and be capable of working alone to tight deadlines as well as working closely with others in a team. 

Responsibilities include: 

- Decorating large volumes of donuts with great care, following recipes exactly, quickly and efficiently.
- Handling lots of donuts carefully and hygienically, making sure they reach hungry mouths in perfect condition.

About the job:

- Either full-time (40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7) or part time (8-32 hours per week, working 1-4 days out of 7).
- Must be available early mornings throughout the week, on weekends and on bank holidays.
- Based in Covent Garden, although on some occasions you may be required to work at our bakery in Hackney.
- Hourly pay £10.55-£11 per hour dependant on experience.

- Previous experience in a professional bakery or kitchen, producing high volumes of pastry, bread, confectionery etc is a plus.
